“ We went here with my whole family for my (grown) son’s birthday and it was a fantastic get together. Cool vibe, lots of beer, and great food! Parking could be a little better but there’s probably more at night when the other businesses are close. Plus you can always park in the back. The bbq was great, and the Nachos were too. Highly recommended. ”

“ One of my favourite restaurants by far, they are crushing record breaking sales with the stampede in place but with this comes an extremely busy restaurant. Our server got so overwhelmed that she forgot about us completely for quality check, refills and the bill. The staff handled it amazingly well and everyone was doing a kick ass job with the chaos but I think what would have made it a 10/10 experience if a manager was walking around, quality checking and assisting staff. There were lots of food and drink runners but servers were left to their own devices when it came to handling their tables which is totally common but not when their section is huge, full of big parties etc. I will always return here, the food is amazing, atmosphere is awesome and I am so glad to see them so successful in business ”

“ I recommend this spot I ordered the beef ribs and they don't disappoint at all they are so juicy and tender and the portions are really big they also craft they're our beers cool spot to enjoy in Calgary downtown also the aura of the place it's really cool ”

“ We went to South Block BBQ on Sunday around lunchtime. It was not overly busy on the cold December day. -16C We were seated right away, and our server appeared shortly after. She told us about brunch specials and took our drink orders. They have a huge selection of beers and the hard stuff as well. Food came quickly and was delicious. They also have dessert, but I was way too full for that. If you have a large party I would recommend you make a reservation but only 2 there is no problem getting seated. I would definitely come back here again. ”

“ South block is a must try. I Frequent this location and am always satisfied. Amazing bbq food and great in-house brewed beer. The sliced brisket sandwich is so good, pair it with a big lick lager. ”

“ The BBQ at South Block is indeed quite good. The thick-cut brisket is tender and flavorful, pairing perfectly with the barbecue sauce—absolutely delicious. The pulled pork Benny is a great choice too; the brunch combination and portion size are very satisfying. As for the drinks, they’re decent—my mango wheat beer and my friend’s cherry sour beer were just okay. The environment is cozy, and it’s not too crowded for a weekend lunch, making it a great spot for chatting. ”

“ A really cool dining experience! All the meat was absolutely amazing, but if I'd have to pick a favorite, definitely for the turkey and the Blueberry Burnt ends! The only critique I have is that the dill pickle salad could use some more pickles, but other then that, an absolutely amazing meal. Also, the prices are low for what you all get! ”
